Trees For A Brighter Future

Trees for a Brighter Future is an event organized by The Greater Moncton Association For Community Living. Various groups and businesses from here in South-East New Brunswick purchase trees and decorate them. They're displayed in Champlain Place for a couple of weeks and then auctioned off at a gala fundraiser at The Delta Beausejour on Friday, November 18th. Magic 104 purchased a tree and our gang got together on Saturday, November 5th to decorate it at the mall. Thanks to (From left) Emily, Jake, Katie and Olivia...They actually took part in the decorating of the tree unlike myself and Dan Barton...but let's face it...aren't we better off? I mean, who wants grown men touching a Christmas tree? Thanks to Patty, Margie, Monica, Melissa, Scotty, Cathy, Anna, & Mandy for doing 'the real' decorating. If you want to find out more about the GMACL and it's programs and the tree gala...phone the GMACL at 862-0356. Tickets can also be purchased at Scotiabank, Main Street, Moncton.

Thanks for listening!
Tony Smith
